Maternal & Child Health
Introduction
Maternal & Child Health is both an area of concentration and a specialty area. The specialty area track is available to two-year or doctoral students enrolled in any of the other admitting units within the School of Public Health.
Program
The Maternal & Child Health Specialty Area track requires 9 units of maternal & child health courses.

- PH 251A Practicum in Epidemiologic Methods
- PH 290-4 Community-Based Research: Design, Method & Analysis
*Other courses may be used if approved by the faculty head.
At the time of graduation, each student who successfully completes the certificate requirements will receive a letter signed by the specialty area head and the dean of the School of Public Health.
Admissions
Students interested in pursuing course work and/or research in Maternal & Child Health should apply to any of the regular academic programs of the School of Public Health.
