Welcome to our community
A Message from Vincent Atchity
Assistant Dean, Student Services
I would like to welcome new and returning students to the School of Public Health and encourage you to take full advantage of the many opportunities and resources our school has to offer. Our office provides students with the support and resources they need to succeed at the School, and our staff is available to answer questions, provide advice, and respond to individual student needs and concerns.
Other resources available to students include Instructional Computing and the Sheldon Margen Public Health Library. Students at the School will enjoy access to the UC Berkeley campus, the surrounding community, and the greater Bay Area.
The Center for Public Health Practice is a great resource for incoming and current students, and I encourage you to explore the services the center provides. These include internships, career services, and the Center for Health Leadership. The Center for Public Health Practice helps students achieve excellence in practice as they promote individual and community health.
I invite you to connect with your classmates by finding out more about our School's student groups, which offer public health students the opportunity to pursue their particular interests while building relationships with fellow students and gaining hands-on public health experience within the community.
We are proud to have you as members of our community, and it is our privilege to provide guidance and support for you as you pursue your academic and personal goals. We hope you will have an enjoyable and educational experience at the School of Public Health.
