Bruce KielerBruce Kieler DrPH '94, MPH '88, MBA, MA and his colleagues Rudolph Henry MS and Rebecca Shawver MPA were awarded the Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Memorial Award for 2014 in Bangalore, India, for the key roles they as grants professionals played in the innovative and collaborative development and sustainability of nuclear power technology training programs in the Texas Gulf Coast Region. The programs they helped develop were deemed “a model for the education of nuclear power technologists in India.”

A. Eugene Washington

A. Eugene Washington MD, MSc, MPH ’75 was named Duke University’s chancellor for health affairs and president and CEO of the Duke University Health System in January 2015. He began work April 1 overseeing one of the world’s leading academic and health care systems, including Duke’s medical school, nursing school, and extensive programs for patient care, biomedical research, and community service. Previously he was vice chancellor for health sciences, dean of the David Geffen School of Medicine and chief executive officer of the UCLA Health System.
