In spring 2016, the School of Public Health will be going through a rigorous Academic Program Review overseen by the Program Review Oversight Committee (PROC) and coordinated by the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching, Learning, Academic Planning & Facilities. The review includes participation from faculty, students, staff, and administrators in recognition of their shared responsibility for continued academic excellence.
The review process takes approximately 18 months. The centerpiece of the review is the School’s self-study document which assesses its intellectual agenda, outlines its programmatic goals and resources, and identifies critical challenges and opportunities. This self-study expresses the School’s unique culture and provides an opportunity for reflection on and critical assessment of the School’s scholarly directions and academic programs.
The emphasis of the review is on forward planning, informed by analysis of recent data trends, and identifying through the self-study and the review process the necessary steps to maintain excellence.
