Addressing Health Disparities
Dean Stephen Shortell thanks the Staff Research Support Committee and the M.P.H. Student Coordinators during his welcome address at the annual Student Poster Session.
Associate Dean for Student Affairs Denise Herd introduces the theme of the poster session, "Addressing Health Disparities."
Mohsen Malekinejad, Dr.P.H. student, shows off his poster, Enhancing HIV Surveillance Capacity in Iran: Lessons Learned from the Implementation of Respondent-Driven Sampling among Injecting Drug Users. Malekinejad's poster won first place in the health disparities category.
Second place winner Nick Lam, M.P.H. student in Environmental Health Sciences, with his poster, Oxidant Driven Paint Degradation as a Factor in the Exposure of Children to Lead Based Paint.
