Graduate Opportunity Program Fellowship

Nominees must be embarking on their first master’s degree and have demonstrated financial need with no more than $10,000 in assets as indicated on the Domestic Fellowship page of the Graduate Division Application for Admission. Nominees must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or AB540-eligible. To be considered for this opportunity, nominees must submit a completed SOPHAS and Graduate Division application for admissions by December 1st. Note: this opportunity is limited to MPH and DrPH applicants only.

Kaiser Permanente-Public Health Scholars Program -

With the purpose of increasing the enrollment of underrepresented students and placing graduate students in underserved communities, nominees must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or AB540-eligible. Nominees must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or AB540-eligible. To be considered for this opportunity, nominees must submit a completed SOPHAS and Graduate Division application for admissions by December 1st. Note: this opportunity is limited to MPH and DrPH applicants only.

SPH Block Grant for Incoming Students

As a merit-based opportunity, nominees must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or AB540-eligible, and have maintained a upper division undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher. To be considered for this opportunity, nominees must submit a completed SOPHAS and Graduate Division application for admissions by December 1st. Note: this opportunity is limited to MPH and DrPH applicants only.

SCHOLARSHIP/AWARD DEADLINE & AWARD ANNOUNCEMENTS
Norman & Pansy L. Chan Scholarship - As an opportunity to fund international students from China, students must be currecntly enrolled with in the School of Public Healht and be nominated by their program. To find the program staff representative that liaises with the Office of Student Services & Admission, please visit the following link: http://sph.berkeley.edu/school/contact-us. The School of Public Health will begin accepting nominations starting February 1st.  Deadline: N/A
Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Students (SDS) Scholarship - As an opportunity to fund socioeconomically disadvantaged students who are first generation college students and/or low income. Award amounts will vary depending on the number of applications received. The SDS scholarships listed on this page are combined and used to provide award support. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, receipients must be a full-time student, enrolled in a minimum of 12 units for masters or doctoral degrees. Applications for the competition will be sent to graduate students when available. Semi-Annual
Public Health Alumni Association Scholarship Competition - The Public Health Alumni Association provides $1,500 per student if selected for this award. Eligibility: Currently enrolled students in good academic standing in the School of Public Health who have been enrolled at least one semester in the School and who, at the time of application, have at least two semesters to complete. To be eligible to receive a scholarship, receipients must be a full-time student, enrolled in a minimum of 12 units for masters or doctoral degrees. Applicants are not eligible if they are graduating May. The School of Public Health will begin accepting applications starting December 3rd. Roselyn Lindheim Scholarship in Environmental Design and Public Health - Graduates students are encouraged to apply for the Roselyn Lindheim Award in Environmental Design and Public Health. Awards consist of stipends up to $10,000 for one or two continuing graduate students. The award supports work-in-progress that integrates the social, physical, cultural, and political aspects of improving population well-being. The work can be research or service oriented and must be completed within one year of receiving the award. The School of Public Health will begin accepting applications starting September 3rd. SPH Block Grant for Incoming Students - As a merit based opportunity, students must maintain a GPAof 3.75 or higher in the current MPH and DrPH programs after the spring semester. Recipients must also intend to be registered for both semester in the following academic year. The School of Public Health will begin accepting appications starting April 1st.
