Research Description
Ms. Nazeeri-Simmons is currently the Chief Quality Officer (CQO) for San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH), one of the premier public hospitals in the United States. As a member of the hospital's executive leadership team, she is responsible for Performance Improvement, Regulatory & Accreditation, Infection Control & Prevention, Risk Management and Patient Safety. In her role as CQO, Ms. Nazeeri-Simmons works collaboratively across the hospital's departments and clinical services to ensure the provision of high quality health care. SFGH has successfully passed multiple Joint Commission accreditation surveys and state licensing inspections during her tenure. Ms. Nazeeri-Simmons focuses on quality and patient safety initiatives that span the care continuum, including outpatient and inpatient services, emergency and trauma services, diagnostic and specialty care. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses for over fourteen years at University of Michigan, Portland State University and UC Berkeley.
