Research Interests
- Epidemiology of alcohol and casualties and violence-related injuries in emergency room (ER) populations, the general population, and coroner cases
- The validity of self-reported alcohol consumption based on breathalyzer readings in the ER
- Health services utilization among ER patients, risk taking and risk curve analysis of alcohol and injuries
- Drinking patterns and problems among primary care populations; and screening for alcohol problems in health care settings and in the general population
