Tuesday, August 22,
noon – 4 p.m.
GET INSPIRED by keynote speaker, Dr. Anthony Iton, Senior VP of Healthy Communities at The California Endowment, who’ll share why leadership is important in public health.
Most students come to the School of Public Health at Berkeley because they want to make a difference in the world, and school is a way to gain the knowledge, skills and networks necessary to make that difference. At the Center for Public Health Practice & Leadership (CPHPL), we strive to help you become the leader you want to be by offering a variety of opportunities for active learning, both inside and outside the classroom, during and after your time at UC Berkeley.
Leadership Day is one of your first opportunities to:
- Network with current and former students, professors, and community leaders;
- Learn about leadership development opportunities with a diverse range of student groups at the SPH;
- and Identify and develop your natural talents with the StrengthsFinder tool.
Don’t miss this chance to get a glimpse of the opportunities you have for practicing leadership in the diverse field of public health and to understand how YOU can take advantage of your time at school to develop your leadership skills. Download the agenda for more details!
And to ensure you’re able to take full advantage of Leadership Day 2017, we recommend you attend the morning session of the New Graduate Student Orientation.
