The Career Services Office assists School of Public Health students and alumni to discover and pursue public health employment that suits their goals and passions and enables them to make a difference in public health. SPH Career Services is dedicated to bringing together employers, students, and alumni to contribute to industry and community needs for a better trained and diverse public health workforce.

Services for Students

Career Counseling
Make an appointment to discuss career decision-making and job search strategies, have your resume and cover letter critiqued, conduct a mock interview, evaluate a job offer or learn about career resources available to SPH students.

Career Assessment
Find out about the options available for you to evaluate your personality, interests, skills, and values as they relate to your career choices. Make a career counseling appointment for more information.

Jobs & Internships
Search for full-time or part-time jobs and summer internships utilizing the SPH job web site.

Workshops and Programs
Topics include career planning, interview preparation, resume writing, and job search strategies. Workshops are listed on the SPH job web site Calendar and in the weekly CPHP emails.

Special Events
Interact with employers and public health professionals at a variety of special events hosted by the Center for Public Health Practice, including Master's and Ph.D. Career Fair, Career Café, 291 Professional Development series, employer information sessions, guest lectures, and conferences.

Services for Alumni

Alumni may access job postings, attend career programs, and schedule appointments to meet with Career Services staff during the off-season (later in the semester and throughout the summer), schedule permitting.
