Dr. Ann Stevens was the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program director. She led the ongoing evolution of the curriculum while collaboratively managing the complex everyday process of ensuring a rich and innovative learning environment for the JMP's learners and educators. She served as associate director as of July 2005 before being appointed director in July 2011. Dr. Stevens taught and mentored students in many components of the JMP curriculum, including clinical skills and patient care, and the small-group contextually integrated case-based curriculum. She graduated from medical school at UC Davis and completed her residency training in general internal medicine at UCSF. Dr. Stevens joined the faculty at UCSF, Department of Medicine, in 1984 and transitioned to undergraduate medical education at the JMP in 1991.
